我现在在美国留学,语言大致没有问题了。其实我也用过中英互译的教材。
步骤很简单,先读英文不要总去看中文翻译。不懂的单词查字典并用手抄写下来一来是增加词汇量二来是锻炼英文句子的总体理解能力。我刚学英文时词汇量不少但是总有困难理解一大段一大段的句子,这个方法帮助很大。 不要因为看不懂泄气,用声音把英文读出来,不懂的单词查,然后继续。最好不要依赖中文的译文。
以上是我个人的经验,有疑惑的地方再追问我:)

所以有个退一步的方法,就是读一些老外编写的原著缩写版。
比如书虫系列的改写版,内容很有趣,语法精确【因为是老外自己写的,绝对不会出现中式英语】,而且单词量也比较匹配学生的水平。
如果水平够,也可以买一套《美国语文》。那套书有难度,但是都是经典中的经典,对于提高英语水平绝对帮助很大!值得反复阅读!
