诗英文：verse。

verse

一、含义：

n. 诗；韵文；诗节

vi. 作诗

vt. 诗化；在诗中表现；对 ... 精通

二、用法

作名词意思是“诗”。verse作“韵文，诗”解，比poetry更注重诗的形式，而poetry更注重诗的内容。合乎诗的形式但无诗意的平凡之作叫verse。verse还可指诗节，也可指诗的“一行”。

verse多指诗句、诗行或诗节，也可作诗歌、韵文的总称。
