這個問題可以說是因人而異，大部分人認為考研難在單詞量和語法，其實，這不是單詞量和語法的問題。對於過了專八，和六級拿高分的同學來說，單詞量和語法早已不是問題。專八單詞12000個，考研5500個，六級5000個。而語法，只要高中讀完，就幾乎再沒有新的語法了。至於熟詞僻意，在考研中的確有，但只佔少數，對於考生的威脅也不形成氣候。

考研英語真正的難點在於陷阱!

這在四六級，專四專八中是幾乎絕跡的。但是考研的客觀題，即，完型，閱讀，新題型中都充斥著陷阱。比如，閱讀中：偷換概念，以偏概全，無中生有，擴大范圍等等。

在此，淺談一下完型。出題者在完形中，使過的一類最簡單的小貓膩。

例如：在08年的11題中，(注意：請讀者先看一個選項，判斷它的意思，然後再往下讀)選項D.
unaccountably。很多考生把這個單詞理解為：無數的。結果帶入特別通順，結果答錯，失分。殊不知，上了出題者的當，這個單詞應該是：無法解釋地。注意此詞的詞根為：account
作為動詞表示：解釋，而不是count 作為動詞表示，數數。這是高中詞彙表中的一個單詞。在此處，出題者就指望考生把這個單詞看錯為：無數的，然後帶回去答錯。

此處是完型干擾項的一種設置：稱作：詞形干擾。說白了就是障眼法。

最近十年類似明顯的障眼法還有三處，分別是：

02年的38題，選項D. effected。這是一個根本不存在的單詞，注意effect是名詞，affect是其動詞形式，其後才能加ed。

03年的31題，選項C. personnel，有人誤讀為：私人的，實為：人事的;

同樣03年的31題，選項D. corporation，有人誤讀為：合作，實為：公司;

異常巧妙的是：如果選項C. personnel 誤認為：私人的，即與該題選項B. indivial，個人的，形成近義詞辨析;而如果選項D.
corporation誤讀為合作，即與該題選項A.
group，群體的，形成近義詞辨析。出題者的干擾項設置可不是沒有道理的、任意的，此處，03年的出題者可謂把詞形辨析玩到了極致!

由此可見，如果考生們不知考研英語本質(陷阱)的話，可能這個瓶頸就很難逾越。因此，考生如果一個勁只顧復習而不好好分析的話，很有可能就是在南轅北轍。

英語是英語一和英語二；往年也是如此。
但是，今年英語一（或二）所有考生題目是一樣的；答案是不同的。即「一科多卷」。

我拿到的同一個題目選項可能是：A is B she C he D it
應該明白了吧。就是：題目相同；選項內容相同，選序不同；那麼，答案也不同。

個人英語四級593，六級490，都是一次考過的，雖然考研和四六級不一樣，但至少可以說明我英語還算可以的，但這次我的英語閱讀至少錯了8個，新題型十幾分鍾做完對了一個，翻譯我直接寫不出來。作文算是適中，我也沒有背模板。這次我只祈求過線就行了。
