一、英語寓言小故事：老鼠和公牛
第一段：
A mouse once took a bite out of a bull's tail as he lay dozing.
譯文：有一次，公牛躺著打盹，一隻老鼠咬了他的尾巴。
The bull jumped up in a rage and， with his head low to the ground， chased the
mouse right across the yard.
譯文：公牛怒氣沖沖地跳起來，低著頭追老鼠，一向追過院子。
The mouse was too quick for him， however， and slipped easily into a hole in the wall.
譯文：然而，老鼠跑得比他快多了，從容地鑽到牆洞里去了。
第二段：
The bull charged the wall furiously again and again， but although he bruised his head
and chipped his horns， the mouse stayed safely inside his hole。
譯文：公牛一次又一次地猛撞牆壁，盡管頭撞腫了，角撞裂了，老鼠卻安然待在洞里。
After a time the bull gave up and sank down to rest again。
譯文：過了一會兒，公牛不撞了，倒下歇著。
第三段：
As soon as the bull was asleep， the little mouse crept to the mouth of the hole， pattered across the yard， bit the bull again？
譯文： 公牛剛睡著，小老鼠就爬到洞口，嗒嗒地跑過院子，又咬了公牛一口？

譯文：這回咬了鼻子？
and rushed back to safety。 As the bull roared helplessly the mouse squeaked："It's
not always the big people who e off best。 Sometimes the small ones win， you know。"
譯文：又跑回安全的地方去。當公牛毫無辦法地吼叫時，老鼠吱吱叫道："大人物並不總占上風。有時小人物也會取勝。"
二、英語寓言小故事：郭氏之墟
第一段：
On a vacation trip， Duke Huan of the state of Qi came to the ruin of the capital of Guo
Shi ， which perished long ago.
譯文：齊桓公出遊途中，來到已經滅亡許久的郭氏都城的廢墟。
第二段：
Seeing the desolate and bleak prospects of broken tiles， collapsed walls， and clusters
of weeds， he could not help asking the local people about the reason of the ruin of Guo Shi.
譯文：看到瓦礫殘垣、雜草叢生的蕭條景象，忍不住問當地百姓郭氏滅亡的原因。
第三段：
They replied，"Guo Shi was fond of doing good deeds， and averse to evildoing， which led to the perdition."
譯文：百姓們回答說："郭氏由於喜愛善行善事。厭惡邪惡醜行而導致滅亡。"
第四段：
When the Duke could not understand the answer， people explained ，" Though he
liked doing good， he had never been able to do so; though he hated
evildoing， never could he help not participating.That caused the ruin of his capital."
譯文：齊桓公不能理解這種回答，百姓們便解釋說："郭氏雖然喜愛善行善事，但從來都不能做到；盡管厭惡邪惡醜行，卻總是忍不住參與其中。這就是他的都城變成廢墟的原因。"
三、英語寓言小故事：三個好朋友
One day， a monkey rides his bike near the river.
譯文：一天，一隻猴子在河邊騎車。
This time he sees a lion under a tree, The lion runs at him.
譯文：這時他看見樹下有一隻獅子，獅子向他跑來。
He is afraid and falls into the river.
譯文：他十分的害怕，掉進河裡。
He can』t swim, He shouts.
譯文：他不會游泳，大叫起來。
The rabbit hears him, He jumps into the river, The rabbit swims to the monkey， but
he can』t help him.
譯文：兔子聽見了，跳進水裡，但他卻沒有辦法救猴子。
Luckily， an elephant es along.
譯文：幸運的是，一隻大象過來了。
He is very strong, He helps the rabbit and monkey.
譯文：大象十分強壯，救出了兔子和猴子。
Three friends are very happy, They go to the elephant』s home.
譯文：他們來到大象的家，在那裡吃了一頓大餐。
Then， three of them bee good friends.
譯文：從此他們成了好朋友。
四、英語寓言小故事：
A Man and a Satyr having struck up an acquaintance， sat down together to eat.
譯文：一個人與賽特偶然相識，坐在一齊吃東西。
The day being wintry and cold， the Man put his fingers to his mouse and blew opon them.
譯文：正值冬季，天氣很冷，那人把手放在嘴邊哈氣。
"What's that for， my friend?" asked the Satyr.
譯文：賽特問道「我的朋友，那是干嗎?」
" My hands are so cold，" said the Man， "I do it to warm them."
譯文：這人說「我的手太冷了，這是為了取暖」。
In a little while some hot food was placed before them， and the Man， raising the dish to his mouse， again blew opon it.
譯文：過了一會兒，熱騰騰的食物端上來了，那人把碟子舉到嘴邊又吹了起來。
"And what's the meaning of that， now?" said the Satyr.
譯文：賽特問「這又是干嗎？」
"Oh，" replied the Man， "my porridge is so hot， I do it to cool it."
譯文：那人說「哦，我的粥太燙了，我把他吹涼些」。
"Nay， then，" said the Satyr， "from this moment I renounce your friendship， for I
will have nothing to do with one who blows hot and cold with the same mouse."
譯文：賽特說「從此刻起，我要與你絕交，因為我不想和一個反復無常的人做朋友」。
五、英語小故事：驢和蚱蜢
Ass having heard some Grasshoppers chirping， was highly enchanted; and， desiring
to possess the same charms of melody， demanded what sort of food they lived
on， to give them such beautiful voices.
譯文：一隻驢聽到幾只蚱蜢在叫，便覺得很趣味；於是也想得到同樣趣味的音調，便問蚱蜢吃什麼東西過活，以至於能有這樣優美的聲音。
They replied， "The dew." The Ass resolved that he would only live upon dew， and in
a short time died of hunger.
譯文：蚱蜢說：「露水。」驢子聽了，從此以後也單吃露水過活，不久便餓死了。

1、A cat goes to a river every day. He wants to go fishing. But he can』t catch any fish.
一隻貓每天去河邊，他想去釣魚，但是他去釣不到一條。
One day, he goes to the river as usual. Suddenly a fish comes out. He catches the fish. He is very happy. He forgets to put the fish in the basket. He dances and sings. He shouts, 「I have a fish! I have a fish!」 All his friends come to see him.
一天，他像往常一樣去了河邊。突然一條魚浮出了水面。他捉到了那條魚。他非常開心。他忘記把魚放到籃子里去了。他又唱又跳，叫道：「我捉到一條魚!我捉到一條魚!」他所有的朋友都過來看。
「Where is your fish? Let us have a look at it. 」 his friends say.
「你的魚在哪兒?讓我們看一看。」他的朋友們說。
「It』s there, near the bank.」 the cat answers. But he can』t find the fish. When he sings and dances, the fish jumps back into the river.
「在那兒，河岸附近。」貓回答道。但是他找不到那條魚。當他又唱又跳的時候，魚跳回了河裡。
2、Wang Xi- is one of the most famous calligraphers ring the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China. When he was very young, he practiced his art every day and never stopped.
王羲之是中國東晉時代一個很有名的書法家，他從小就刻苦練字，從不間斷。
absorbed the strong points of all the other schools of calligraphy, and developed his own unique style of writing. Because of his achievements, he has been honored as one of China's sages of calligraphy.

One time, Wang Xi- sketched in wood for an engraver to cut. Then the engraver found the ink had penetrated one centimeter into the wood.
有一次，王羲之在木板上刻字，後來刻字的人發現墨汁滲入木板有三尺深。
"Ru Mu San Fen" is got from this story, which means the calligraphy is penetrating.
「入木三分」就是從這個故事中得出來的，用來形容書法有力。
3、I have nine little goldfish .Eight goldfish are all orange and one isblack .I like the black one best.
