❶ 英语的倍数表达法

1. 表示“几倍大小（长短；数量）”，由“倍数+ the size（length，amount……）”结构组成。
例如：
The earth is forth-nine times the size of the moon. 地球是月亮的49倍大。

2. 表示“……比……大几倍”，由“倍数+形容词（副词）比较级”结构组成。
例如：
This box is three times bigger than that one. 这个盒子比那个盒子大三倍。
The grain output is 8 percent higher this year than that of last year. 今年比去年粮食产量增加8%。

3. 表示“……是……倍”，由“倍数+ as +形容词+ as +”结构组成。
例如：
Our factory is twice as big as theirs. 我们的工厂是他们的三倍。
I have three times as many as you. 我有你三倍那么多。

[注] 一倍用once，两倍用 twice。

4、还可以用by+倍数，表示增加多少倍。
The proction of grain has been increased by four times this year. 今年粮食产量增加了4倍。

❷ 英语的几种倍数表达方法

英语倍数的表达法
1. 用形容词表示甲是乙的几倍时，用下面三个句型，用副词表示则一般只用前两个句型。
（1）……倍数+形容词（或副词）的比较级+than
This rope is twice longer than that one．这根绳的长度是那根绳的三倍。（比那根绳长二倍）
This hall is five times bigger than our classroom．这个大厅比我们的教室大五倍。（是我们教室的六倍）
The car runs twice faster than that truck．这辆小车的速度比那辆卡车快两倍。（是那辆卡车的三倍）
（2）……倍数+as+形容词（或 much）或副词+as
Asia is four times as large as Europe．亚洲的面积是欧洲的四倍。
This big stone is three times as heavy as that one．这块大石头的重量是那一块的三倍。（这块石头比那块重二倍）
The plane flew ten times as high as the kite．那架飞机飞行高度是那个风筝的十倍。（高出九倍）
（3）……倍数+the size（length，height…）of
This street is four times the length of that street．这条街是那条街的四倍长。
This hill is four times the height of that small one．这座山的高度是那座小山的四倍。（比那座小山高三倍）
也可用：The height of this hill is four times that of that small one．

2. 要用名词表示“量”的倍数时，则用以下两个句型：
（1）……倍数+more+名词（可数，不可数）+than
There are four times more books in our library than in yours．我们图书馆藏书（数量）是你们图书馆藏书的四倍。（我们图书馆藏书
比你们的多三倍。）
We have proced twice more grain this year than we did last year．我们今年生产的粮食比去年增长一倍。（是去年的两倍）
（2）……倍数+as many（或much）+名词+其他+as…
After the technique was introced，the factory proced twice as many tractors in 1988 as the year before．采用新的技术以后
，那个工厂1988年生产的拖拉机是前一年（1987年）的两倍。（比前一年增长一倍）
There is three times as much water in this pot as in that one．这个壶里的水（量）是那个壶里的三倍。

❸ 英语倍数的几种表示方法

英语中,倍数的表达有许多细微的区别.这里只介绍倍数的一般表达方法.
1. 表示“几倍大小（长短；数量）”,由“倍数+ the size（length,amount……）”结构组成.
例如：The earth is forth-nine times the size of the moon. 地球是月亮的49倍大.
2. 表示“……比……大几倍”,由“倍数+形容词（副词）比较级”结构组成.

1."A + be + 倍数 + as + 计量形容词原级 + as + B".
This tree is three times as tall as that one. 这棵树是那棵树的三倍高。
His father is twice as old as he. 他父亲的年纪有他两倍大。

2."A + be + 倍数 + 计量形容词比较级 + than + B "
The Yangtze River is almost twice longer than the Pearl River.
长江差不多比珠江长两倍。
The dictionary is exactly five times more expensive than that one.
这本字典比那本恰好贵5倍。

3."A + be + 倍数 + the + 计量名词 + of + B "
The newly broadened square id four times the size of the previous one.
新扩建的广场是未扩建时的四倍大。

4."The + 计量名词 + of + A + be + 倍数 + that + of + B "
The size of the newly broadened square is four times that of the previous one.
新扩建的广场为以前的四倍大。

5.其它
I'm twice/ double his age. 我的年龄是他的两倍。
I've paid five times the usual price for the stamp.
我出了5倍于往常的价格买这枚邮票。
The average income of the staff has been increased by 50 percent compared with last year. 与去年相比，该单位职工的收入增加了50%.
The price of TVs are twofold( adj. 两部分的, 双重的) down over these years.
近几年来，电视机的价格下降了两倍。

❼ 英语的倍数问题

英语倍数的翻译似乎是一个老生常谈的问题,但如何准确地翻译英语倍数一直存在着争议.英语表示倍数增减或倍数对比的句型多种多样,其中有一些句型很容易译错,这是因为在英文和中文的表达中,两种语言的表达思维是不一样的,存在着差异和区别.只有懂得了这些思维方式的差异和区别,才能正确地掌握好英语倍数的翻译.用英语表达“A 是 B 的 N 倍”,“A 比 B 大N 倍” 或“A 比B 小 N 分之几”等,可用下列几种句型：
1． 倍数增加（1） A is N times as great as B.A is N times greater than B. A is N times the size of B.
以上三句都应译为：A的大小是B的N倍（或A比B大N－1倍）.注：当相比的对象B很明显时,than（as,of）B常被省去.（2）increase to N times
increase N times／N-fold
increase by N times
increase by a factor of N以上四句均应译为：增加到N倍（或：增加N－1倍）. 注：在这类句型中increase常被raise,grow,go/step up,multiply等词所替代.
（3）There is a N-fold/N times increase/growth…应译为：增加N－1倍（或增至N倍）.
……在所有这些句型中,争议最大的大概是这样的句子： A is three times greater than B.
这个句子虽然简单,但争议颇多,可能是英语倍数翻译中争议最大的一个,即使在英语工具书和其他有关英语翻译的书上,也是两种译法.有的学者认为应该译为“A比B大3倍（A是B的4倍）”,也有的学者有不同的译法,认为应该译作“A比B大2倍（A是B的3倍）”,似乎没有定论.而在我所查阅过的所有英语词典（包括英汉词典和英英词典）中都没有发现对这一句型的说明和解释,也就是说,几乎所有词典都回避了这个问题,可见争议之大.十多年前,我曾就此问题查阅过许多英语语法书籍,但绝大多数语法书也都同样回避了这个句型,不置可否.只有很少的语法书提到了这个句型,但却是两种解释都有,没有定论.而且大都用词含糊,似乎连自己也不太自信.也就是说,对于这个句型,我至今没有找到一本书,能够对之予以坚定且具有说服力的说明和解释.我也曾请教过许多外国学者,外国学者中也同样存在着两种看法,有人说A是B的3倍,也有人说A是B的4倍.如果再追问他们一句“肯定吗”,则大部分外国朋友也都含糊其词,不能坚定自己的看法.
