逐步淘汰全國學校考試

在孩子7歲，11歲，14歲進行的所有的全國性的考試都可以被取消，英國某負責學校考試的機構負責人建議說。

KenBoston說一小部分學生可以參加考試，而不是監督國家標准。

這可以與針對孩子個人的「漸進性測試」方法結合起來，他對《時代周刊》說。

政府表示，並不打算取消國家測試，並稱國家測試體制能夠激勵學生進步。

批評者表示，考試為教師製造了太多負擔，同時使得課堂活動過於狹窄的只以考試為重點。

抽樣：

Boston先生，QCA（可以譯為資質和課程委員會）首席執行官，稱通過抽樣調查可以獲得更細化的結果。

測試被安排由全英國所有7歲，11歲，14歲的孩子參加。測試結果構成學校排名表的基礎。

Boston先說對時代周刊說，"在10年內用相同的試卷進行抽樣測試可以給出比當前結果更細化的結論"

「就目前來看，測試應該保留，但是當漸進性測試得以實施，並且小學生在整個關鍵階段（譯者註：這裡面所謂關鍵階段就是指在英國國家教育體系下將兒童學習劃分的幾個階段，分別是：5-7，7-11，11-14，14-16）的表現信息可以由此獲得時，我們可以考慮從另一個方式獲取全國性的信息」

新的資質：

一位教育與技術部門新聞發言人說，該部門正在就有關提案進行咨詢，該提案意圖讓孩子參加更多測試，從他們有能力參加考試的一刻起，而不是直到一個漫長的關鍵階段的最後才參加考試。

他還說「很多好學校已經在第五年的時候開展可選的國家測試，或者將第三階段的考試提前一年」

波士頓先生還建議，應該允許英國航空公司、瑪莎公司等僱主提供資質認證。

他說這種內部員工的業務培訓，將有助於縮小技能方面的差距。

Boston先生說他設想的制度下，英國航空公司可以提供航空客運事務的資質認定。

他說「企業每年花費330億英鎊用於培訓，其中大量活動都不受監管」

Boston先生將在QCA發布其年度報告後再度發言。
