Take one point as an example. We are often asked to work in groups. Group work can only be successful when group members respect, help and support each other. While some members are pursuit in personal interests, and ignore the importance of the cooperation. This leads to much misunderstanding, conflict and waste of energy. 一、理解演講的意義
在演講之前，先要學生理解演講的意義是多方面的，它不但可以提高演講者的口頭表達能力，而且通過演講的內容既能教育聽講的人，更能在准備講稿和講演中教育演講者自己。如小語十一冊積累
運用四的口語交際中，要求學生從「我最欽佩的一種行為」和「我最看不慣的一種現象」中任選一題進行演講，當學生完成了這項訓練後，不僅培養了演講能力，也培養了明辨是非的能力，從而教育了自己。只有演講者理解了演講的意義，在演講時才會有激情和自信。
二、演講要有針對性
演講內容的確定直接關繫到演講的效果。內容的確定要從實際出發，要考慮聽眾的需要，收集一些普遍關心的問題，做到有的放矢。當學生以「我最欽佩的一種行為」為題演講時，就要求在內容上選擇符合學生實際的，普遍關心的一種行為來進行演講，如「拾金不昧」、「樂於助人」、「刻苦學習」等等，這樣才能引起聽眾的共鳴。
三、演講要有激情
念熟演講稿是演講的前提，但照本宣讀，聽眾不可能被感染。「演講」顧名思義，不光講還要演，聽眾不光聽還要看。如果只照本宣讀，聽眾看到的不過是一架發聲的「機器」而已。而聽眾要看的是一個有感情、有激情的「活人」，只有這樣的演講者才能去感染聽眾。所以，學生在演講時，要求他們在演講的同時傾註上自己的感情，講起來才不幹巴巴，有真情實意。缺乏激情的演講是沒有魅力的。
四、演講的技巧
當然，演講也有技巧，掌握這些技巧可以使演講效果更理想。首先，演講講究自然，演講時所表露的感情，應與內容相吻合，只有真情實意才能抓住聽眾，打動聽眾。演講的節奏要較緊湊，不能慢條斯理。其次，開頭要有吸引力，不說多餘話，開門見山，單刀直入，抓住聽眾的「心」。最後，用適當的姿勢助演講，因為豐富多樣又適當的手勢或姿態，不僅能吸引聽眾的注意力，而且繪聲繪色也會給聽眾留下深刻的印像。

大賽程序

「CCTV杯」全國英語演講大賽分四個層次進行，即：初賽、復賽、半決賽及決賽：

演講題目：定題演講與決賽一致。即興演講部分的題目由研究會自行決定。評委組成：比賽中不少於5名評委（5名在省里有較高公信度的專家教授，其中不少於2名外籍專家），保證比賽的公正性。

比賽形式：各省（市、自治區）復賽的前3名選手參加半決賽。得分排在前20名的選手參加決賽，由CCTV英語頻道安排4個45分鍾的現場錄播節目；主辦雙方共同邀請評委11人（中方6人，外方5人）。
比賽時間：半決賽3天、決賽2天。
比賽環節：1、定題發言：每位選手首先進行3分鍾（正負10秒以內，否則扣分）的有準備發言，決賽命題提前通知選手與指導教師；
2、回答問題：1名中國專家1名外國專家專職負責就定題演講內
容提問，問答時間總共為2分鍾；
3、即興演講：半決賽賽題保密，提前兩名選手（15分鍾）讓選手抽題。決賽即興演講部分，從保證提高節目收視率出發，採取靈活多變的形式。如情景模式（大公司的英語面試）、電影英文配音、英語知識問答，看電視節目片段然後用英語描述等；具體比賽形式待最後確定後，另行通知選手和領隊。即興演講部分時間為3分鍾。
