8Drunk Driving
Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that drunk driving
has become a grave problem in China in the past few years. Reports
are often heard about deaths and injuries resulting from drunk
driving. Actually, the phenomenon has been so widespread that it
has caused nationwide concern.
A number of factors might have led to this problem, but the
following are the critical ones. First, as a nation known for wine
and drinking, Chinese have the custom of urging guests to drink
more and regard it as a sign of hospitality. Some even encourage
drivers to drink. Secondly, the boom of Chinese economy in the
past decades has brought along a sharp increase in the number of
private cars in this country. However, many drivers are not fully
aware of the danger of driving after drinking. Last but not least,
laws and regulations regarding drunk driving were not severe
enough in the past.
To our relief, we can see pertinent laws and regulations have
been worked out and enforced to punish those who drive after
drinking. However, I believe that more can be done to eliminate
drunk driving. For one thing, severer laws can be made and put
into effect. For another, the public should be ecated about the
harmfulness of drunk driving and the importance of traffic safety.

My first job was at a cramming school. It was three years ago when I just graated from junior high school and finished the entrance examination. since I had nothing to do that summer, I decided to find a job, tasting the joy of independence.
I was responsible for answering the telephone and taking the message. I worked eight hours a day, six days a week. The work was not difficult nor heavy to me and I guess I did well. The most delighted thing was perhaps that I could spend the money I earned all by myself.

Sports help everyone to keep healthy, happy, and efficient. So I pay special attention to games, especially table-tennis. Table tennis is my favorite game. I play it almost every day.
Table-tennis is an ideal game us because it brings the whole body into action. It strengthens our muscles, expands our lungs, promotes the circulation of the blood, and causes a healthy action of the skin. Besides, it is very amusing and does not cost us much money. 4.Generation gap between parents and children
Nowadays , there are more and more misunderstanding between parents and children which is so- called generation gap . It is estimated that (75 percentages of parents often complain their children’s unreasonable behavior while children usually think their parents too old fashioned).
Why have there been so much misunderstanding between parents and children? Maybe the reasons can be listed as follows . The first one is that ( the two generations, having grown up at different times, have different likes and dislikes ,thus the disagreement often rises between them) .
